    Good anti-back pain postures

    In bed and waking up

Even if you like and can still sleep on your stomach, this position which accentuates the curvature of the lower back is not recommended. Prefer the lateral position, one or two legs bent to relieve the intervertebral discs. And when you wake up, still lying on your side, fold your legs and push on your hand to stand up before turning around, sitting on the edge of the bed and getting up.

    In the dressing room

Better to forget about stilettos from the start. On heels that are too high, you would be forced to tilt your pelvis forward to find balance, thus further accentuating your arch and therefore causing back pain. The ideal? 2 to 5cm heels, no more.

    At the computer

Be very careful if you spend the day there... Your back must always be well placed at the bottom of the seat, your head straight, your shoulders lowered and your forearms placed on the desk. Place your feet side by side on a support, the arch will thus be lightened. And remember to take regular breaks: get up, walk, squat with your knees apart to relieve and stretch your lower back.

    While walking

Look far in front of you, top of your head towards the sky without lifting your chin and move forward, lightly tightening your glutes and abs and making sure to keep your shoulders low. So, like the models, you will not put any strain on your lower back.

    Waiting for the bus

Don't relax your attention and as soon as you feel your kidneys deepening and your pelvis tilting forward, move one bent leg forward slightly to distribute the weight and avoid arching.

    Leaving the supermarket

Balance shopping bags on each side and carry them at shoulders, not at arm's length. And swap your large bag always worn on the same side for a reasonably sized bag, slung over the shoulder.

    When picking up an object

Always bend your knees or flex one before bending over to pick up an object or make the bed. Never bend in half while keeping your legs straight: the lumbar discs immediately suffer.

To lift a slightly heavy load, position yourself with your legs bent and apart and stand up, using your thighs and glutes, not your back.

    While watching TV

Face it to avoid twisting your torso and place a cushion in the small of your back to support your arch. And when getting up from the sofa, always place the tip of one of the feet slightly back and to the side to reduce the flexion of the torso and stabilize the center of gravity.
