  • OUR COMMITMENTS

We have a responsibility to our children

Like any parent, we are responsible. We have long engaged in an activist approach to minimize the impact of our products on people and the environment and to support projects for the quality of life of children. And our projects are just as ambitious.

Our goal: to be zero carbon emissions by 2030

Last December, at the UN Climate Change Conference, along with 500 other B Corp certified companies, we committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 – twenty years ahead of the 2050 date set in the Paris Agreement.

This will involve transforming our supply and manufacturing processes as close as possible to consumers, and taking a circular approach to the life of our products and their packaging.

    Sourcing

    Responsible sourcing

With responsible plant sectors placed under the control of the UEBT, our objective is to best control the traceability of our plant-based active ingredients, from cultivation or harvesting to their processing and incorporation into our products. We work in partnership with all stakeholders in the sector (farmers, local authorities, agronomists, etc.).

    Natural and organic ingredients

Since our creation, we have favored the best ingredients from the plant world, favoring organic, while ensuring the safety of our products with a demanding formulation charter.

    The fight against waste

We transform avocados intended to be thrown away to create cosmetic active ingredients present in products. The entire avocado (and even the stone) is thus transformed into oil and powder from which the avocado perseose found in our products comes.

    Composition and production

    Green extraction processes

We use specific technologies, respectful of people and the environment, in particular molecular distillation, a “green” process for separating and concentrating the noble elements of oils, and biotechnologies, such as enzymatic engineering, a method alternative to the use of certain chemical substances.

    A reduction in our consumption

Since 2020, for 100 units produced, we have reduced our electricity consumption by 19.4%, gas by 24.6% and water by 13.2%.

    A green energy supply

Since 2018, we have purchased 100% green electricity from renewable energy sources (hydraulic, etc.) for our production site located in France. For 100% of electricity consumed by the Expanscience production site, 100% renewable electricity of European origin is injected into the network.

    Packaging and distribution

    Eco-designed products

Our products are eco-designed throughout their life cycle. Thus the bottles and boxes are recyclable, the packaging is lighter to contain only the right amount of material necessary and the instructions have been removed. When we have cases, they are made from cardboard from sustainably managed forests and printed with vegetable-based oil-based inks.

    Experimenting with BULK

We are launching an experiment in bulk sales, i.e. non-pre-packaged products. The idea? To go even further in the eco-design of our products and more particularly the reduction of packaging. More ecological, this distribution method is part of a circular economy approach and provides an alternative to plastic bottles.

    Route optimization

GEODIS storage warehouse is located less than 800 meters from our factory (ISO14001 certified – environmental management standard).
